Randy Shughart was a United States Army soldier who posthumously received the Medal of Honor for his actions during the Battle of Mogadishu on October 3, 1993. As a sniper team member of the elite 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (Delta Force), Shughart, along with his teammate Gary Gordon, volunteered to be inserted near a downed Black Hawk helicopter in Mogadishu, Somalia, to protect the crew from overwhelming Somali militia forces until reinforcements could arrive. Despite their valiant efforts, both Shughart and Gordon were killed in the action. Their bravery and sacrifice were widely commended, and their story was notably featured in the book and film "Black Hawk Down."Now you can wear this piece of history proudly!
